All persons attending this Championship, whether as spectators, competitors, officials or guests of the Organiser, shall be bound by the rules of the event and by participating, is deemed to have understood and accepted the rules and regulations.

The Organiser will not be held liable for any injuries sustained, damaged, or loss suffered by competitors, participants, and audience attending the event. Everyone participating does so at his or her own risk.

The Organiser will not entertain any claims of any nature whatsoever regarding financial or material benefits through publicity and/or broadcasting of the Championship or otherwise. All items pertaining to this Championship shall remain the sole rights of the Organiser.

All Participants are deemed to have given consent to the Organiser for the usage of any photographs and/or videos taken during the competition for publication within our social media, website, etc.

The Organiser reserves the right to change the order of events without prior notice.

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entries or admittance into the ballroom.

The Organiser reserves the right to change/cancel the competition and/or any event without prior notice.

The decision of the adjudicators are final and no correspondence will be entertained.

Online registration of events must be accompanied by payment within 1 week, else it will be rendered void.

All additional bank charges incurred during payment of entry/ticket fees shall be borne by the competitor.

Rules for all Competitors:

• ​No change of dance partner is allowed in the same event.

• All competitors must be present 5 events before their scheduled event. Any competitor who fails to appear at the scheduled time will be disqualified.

Rules on Beginners Events

• Competitors in the Beginners named events must dance in accordance to the syllabus up to Gold level of ISTD and/or NATD.

• Solo Beginners competitors shall not qualify for the Solo Open events and vice versa.

• There are no costume restrictions for Beginners Events except for the Beginners Standard events where tailcoats are not allowed.

• Open Solo and Medallist Solo competitors are allowed to join up to 3 consecutive age groups.

Rules on Professional Open and Amateur Open Events

• Competitors in the Professional Open events cannot participate in any other non Professional events with the exception of the Pro-Am events, provided it is with a different partner.

• Competitors in the Amateur Open events may dance in other non Amateur events, like the Teacher-Student events, provided it is with a different partner.

• Pro-Am events are for Professional teachers. Teacher-Student events are for Non-Professional teachers.

• 1 night accommodation at a 5 star property (One Farrer Hotel) will be provided on 6th September 2025 to all overseas Professional Open & Amateur Open couples. Late entry, if accepted, will not be provided with accommodation. Additional night can be purchased from the Organiser at S$260.

• Overseas Amateur Open competitors may compete in the Amateur Rising Star event, but rooms will not be provided.

• Asia Pacific specific events are only open to the countries within that region.

• Professional and Amateur couples are to provide one colour-action photograph.

Rules on Age-limited events:

• Age-limited events are based on calendar year of birth. 

• Both dancers must meet the age requirement of the chosen event. Example, for "Senior Over 55" both must be at least 55 years old.

• Combined age over 70, 90, 120: Summation of both competitors’ age must be over 70, 90, 120.
